Birth of the Discourse

Extremism has always existed, whether it be present in our cultural practices, our rituals, political ideology or religious belief. Post 9/11 we have been plunged into a world rampant with ideas of extremism and terrorism. Open Discourse's main purpose is to bridge the gap between those marginalized, disenfranchised peoples and the status quo through debate and an open discourse that for far too long has not existed. This blog has absolutely no political or religious affiliation and most certainly does not glorify or excuse the actions of any extremist group that engages in terrorist activity.

Open discourse operates on the basis that extremists are not born but created.
